Sauk River
The Sauk River, is fabled for its huge Native Winter Runs as seen above. This is a beautiful river, the scenery is unmatched anywhere in Washington or Oregon. The best time to be on this river is Mid-March thru April. When fishing this river if you are in the mind set the quantity is quality then you are in the wrong place. The fish are large but their numbers are small. When we are on this river we will be targeting the trophy 20+ pound Steelhead with most fish that we do hook in the mid-teen range.
Our days will start in Darrington 7:00 a.m. Just like any other trip that I offer it will start with casting tips and instruction on how to find the Steelhead water, along with fly presentation techniques. Flies, Rods, Reels, Lunch, and Refreshments will be provided free of charge. Everything else you need is listed below.

What to Bring:

Rod (optional): Single or Two Handed Rods 8wt or greater

Lines (optional): Multi-tip

License: Required, 3day or year long also needed is a Steelhead Tag

Waders: Gortex or Neoprene

Boots: Felt bottom required

Rain Coat: Required, Wading Jacket preferred but waterproof a must

Hat, Gloves, Sweaters, Long Johns, Sunglasses, and Poly pants are all very good things to have.

Also for your convenience, if you cannot make it to the store before the trip to pick up equipment ordered I will be able to pick it up and have it for you on the day of fishing.
